Professional Experience
Erin rejoined the legal profession in July 2025, becoming part of Perkins Law following a sabbatical during which she worked as an elementary school teacher. She began her legal career as a law clerk with the Washington County District Attorney’s Office, and later worked as a research assistant for Professor Leroy J. Tornquist at Willamette University College of Law, assisting in the updates of Oregon Practice and Procedure volumes on evidence and civil procedure.
After earning her J.D., Erin co-founded two boutique civil law firms before launching her own estate planning practice in 2014. Her return to law after several years in education reflects her ongoing passion for legal advocacy and community service.
Community Involvement
Erin previously served as a school site representative for the Gresham-Barlow Education Association and later as a member of the East County Bargaining Council, working alongside the Oregon Education Association and East County Teachers’ Unions to promote fair labor practices and equitable contracts for East County school districts. She is now excited to contribute pro bono legal services through the Oregon Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts.
